A FEW THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE WE BEGIN
Questions are welcome.
You deserve to feel informed and comfortable as you consider therapy. Here are answers to some of the questions people bring to Selah.
Where can I attend virtual sessions?
Selah offers telehealth with Re’vin Slack, LMFT, for patients physically located in California or South Carolina at the time of their appointment. Sessions take place from a private space with a reliable internet connection.
What can we work on together?
Anxiety, depression, stress management, trauma, grief and loss, OCD, self-esteem, life transitions, and relationship concerns. Individual, couples, and family care are tailored to your needs. ERP may be incorporated for OCD when appropriate.
How do I get started?
Use the contact form to request an appointment and share general information about the care you’re seeking. We’ll confirm availability, clinical fit, and payment or insurance details. Once your appointment is arranged, you’ll receive intake forms and consents through Upheal before beginning therapy.
What happens at the first appointment?
Your 60-minute assessment is time to talk about what brings you to therapy, your history, and your goals. You can ask questions, learn about the approach, and discuss a plan for care together.
How long are sessions and when are appointments available?
All sessions are 60 minutes. Practice hours are Tuesday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Eastern. Appointment openings vary; contact Selah to confirm current availability.
Do you accept my insurance?
Selah accepts Aetna and applicable Optum / UnitedHealthcare behavioral-health plans. Your specific plan, network, service, and state must be verified before care. Coverage and your share of costs vary; verification does not guarantee payment.
Can faith be part of therapy?
Yes, if that is meaningful to you. Faith and spirituality can be incorporated at your request, with respect for your beliefs, preferences, and goals. You do not need to share any particular faith to receive care at Selah.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice incur a flat $50 fee under the practice policy. A secure card on file and payment authorization are required during intake.
Is the website form for urgent concerns?
No. The general inquiry form is not monitored continuously and is not an emergency service. Please avoid sending sensitive clinical details through the website. For an immediate emergency, contact emergency services or go to the nearest emergency department.
